You can use any of these images as a desktop background but I suggest configuring your computer to rotate through them all. Just leave them in the thistle_background folder and use the links from Microsoft and Apple below to set your computer to rotate through the images.

All images have been reduced to 1620x1080 pixels and are compressed JPG files that will work well as backgrounds. They have also been "oilized," a process that makes them look like oil paintings. This makes it easier to read text and icons on your computer screen.

All the files on this page are free. You don't need to use the "BUY" link to download. Just pick the size you want, right click and download. If you think having a large printed version would be cool, then you can use the BUY feature and have a print made for a reasonable price.
